Tui Na (Chinese therapeutic massage)

The aim of acupuncture is to regulate the meridians of the body and unblock the stagnation of Qi or Vital Energy, as when Qi becomes blocked or deficient we feel unwell physically and emotionally.

Acupuncture is usually performed with needles (disposable and very fine). Various methods of manipulating needles can be applied to create subtle sensations.

TuiNa is a specific form of acupressure massage using pressure, deep manipulation and a variety of other approaches to promote Qi and blood flow, which in turn helps to address a whole range of presenting disharmonies. There is no essential difference from acupuncture in terms of philosophy and principles and it is very often used in conjunction with other treatments.

Chinese Herbal Medicine

Herbal medicine is another key component of Chinese medicine and works on the same theories and principles as acupuncture. Careful weighing of proportions in a formula of over 400 Chinese Herbs after a through diagnosis is crucial to achieve the best healing results.
